MEMBERSHIP POLICY

 

Membership is free and open to anyone who supports our Aim which is:

 

TO PROMOTE THE WELL-BEING OF THE PEOPLE OF BOLSTERSTONE AND THE ADJOINING AREAS BY THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND INFORMATION AND THE CONSERVATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT

 

a) Membership of the Group shall be open to any individual over eighteen without regards to disability, political or religious affiliation, race, sex or sexual orientation who is:

· interested in helping the Group and in supporting the Management Committee to achieve the Group’s aim

· willing to uphold the aims and abide by the rules of the Group and

· willing to pay any subscription agreed by the Management Committee

 

b) The Management Committee has the right to refuse membership to any person if in its reasonable opinion that individual is unlikely to comply with the conditions listed in section a (above) and/or her/his behaviour would be likely to bring the Group into disrepute.

  

c) The membership of any member may be terminated for good reason by the Management Committee: provided that the member concerned shall have the right to be heard by the Management Committee, accompanied by a friend, before the final decision is made.

 

d) Applicants for membership, will be required if asked, their connections with the area and in what manner they intend supporting the group’s activities.
